A New Year, new hope

A New Year, new hope

It’s a new year, a time to say goodbye to 2020 and look forward to a better and brighter future. Now normally this would be the time for me to tell you all about my new year’s resolutions but instead of doing that I’m going to reaffirm what I already have, what I already know. The problem with new year’s resolutions (aside from the fact that most of us, myself included, don’t follow through with them, or simply forget them after a month or two) is the same reason why people often claim that their prayers go unanswered. I am a firm believer in the law of attraction, which states states that ‘like attracts like’. In other words, when most of us pray for something, or in this case, make a new year’s resolution, we’re approaching it from a mindset of lacking. When we pray for something better, “I want a new job”, “I need more money”, “Please send me my perfect partner”, what we’re really telling God/the universe (or whatever higher power you believe in) is “I don’t have X!”, “I want X!”, “I need X!” Thus the universe responds in kind by reaffirming “Yes, you don’t have X!”, “You want X!”, “You need X!” Thus the universe responds by giving you more of wanting/needing whatever ‘X’ might be. The same is true of new year’s resolutions. When you resolve to lose weight, stop smoking or exercise more, you’re telling the universe that you don’ t have your ideal weight, you need to stop smoking, you haven’ t been exercising enough. Which again the universe reaffirms by telling you “Yes, you need to lose weight”, “You don’ t exercise enough” and so on.

Thus for this year, I’m not making any new year’s resolutions. Instead I’m making some new year’s affirmations. To reaffirm what I already have thus I can ensure that I continue to receive what I already have. That’s the key to success, because if you make an affirmation that you know isn’t true, that you know you don’t have, then it won’t work. After all, you may be able to fool others but you can’t fool yourself. If you know deep down inside yourself that what your affirming isn’t true, then the universe will once again respond in kind and give you more of wanting/needing what you know isn’t true.

So with that in mind, here are my new year’s affirmations for 2021:

This year, I reaffirm that I am a successful author, with a successful selling series. A series that is beloved by many readers and has multiple positive reviews.

This year, I reaffirm that my series is a successful seller that provides me with financial stability, which ensures that I can continue to make a living doing what I love and provide me with more than enough money to not only provide for myself and my family but to help others as well.

This year, I reaffirm that I am in excellent health. That I have overcome my allergies, my sinus pressure and that I am in control of my own body and how it reacts to external stimuli; be it allergies or air pressure. I reaffirm that I have a strong heart due to my exercising regularly and eating healthy.

This year, I reaffirm that I see the world as a beautiful place and that no matter what obstacles and difficulties humanity will encounter in the coming months and years, things will work out for the best and that we all strive to make this world and ourselves the best we can be.

This year, I reaffirm to continue doing what I am already doing in order to ensure that my affirmations continue to come true.

With this in mind I wish you all the best this year and hope that you too shall reaffirm all the good things in your lives. While our lives may not be perfect and sometimes we don’t always get what we want, or find what we want isn’t necessarily what we need; when you continually focus on what you don’t have, the law of attraction will simply ensure that you continue to receive the feeling of wanting/needing that which you don’t have. Thus by reaffirming what you already have, by thinking and acting as if you already have that which you want, you will receive more of it. There is no greater joy in the world then realizing you already have everything you want and need in life and that you are truly complete. Happy new year, peace and love to you all!
